PHILANTHROPY

The Lambda Omega Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta is committed to serving the community through various philanthropic activities. Our efforts focus on both raising funds and dedicating time to meaningful causes.

Our Chapter's support and proceeds continuously go to the Canadian Mental Health Association raising awareness for specifically men's mental health.

Austen Berlet Campout for Mental Health

Our main philanthropy event, raising over $100,000, is the Austen Berlet Campout for Mental Health. This annual event raises funds and awareness for mental health, supporting the CMHA Thames Valley Addiction and Mental Health Services. These services are crucial in assisting Western students, particularly during stressful exam periods. The event honors the memory of Austen Berlet, a brother of Phi Gamma Delta who battled bipolar disorder and tragically passed away in 2009. We hope that through this event, we can prevent similar tragedies and support those facing mental health challenges.
